Terrain for Schools offers two ways for you to obtain our timely, ecological curriculum.

TFS Subscription

Subscription to Terrain for Schools is free to teachers in Northern California. Subscribers receive:

  • The latest teacher's guide, featuring standards-based science, social studies, and language arts lesson plans and activities
  • Terrain magazine – either a single copy or a classroom set, depending upon your preference
  • Guest speaker recommendations from our Speaker’s Bureau, field trips recommendations, or resource referrals from the Ecology Center, according to your needs

TFS on the Web

The lesson plans featured in the Terrain for Schools teacher’s guides are available and free to the public on this web site. The Terrain magazine articles which accompany the lesson plans are also available. You may search all the back issues archived on this site for lesson plans pertaining to specific topics. However, the newest issue of Terrain for Schools is only available to subscribers.

To subscribe, contact Project Coordinator Amy Kiser at schools@ecologycenter.org or 510-548-2220 x232.
